"Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool a comedy for the rich, a tragedy for the poor."

Our Vision

The Karl Zünd Foundation is committed to projects that will promote sustainable development: projects that result in an increase in value for both people and environment, from the financing phase and sponsorship through to the outcome.

The Matho Project

A 470 m2 museum on three floors is being created at the Matho monastery in Ladakh in the Indian Himalayas. The Karl Zünd Foundation has contributed financially to the building and outfitting of the museum.

Kam For Sud

KAM FOR SUD is a Swiss non-governmental organisation created in 1998 in the canton of Tessin. It works in the field of sustainable development in the areas of education, healthcare, child protection and climate change.

Funding

The Foundation supports people who commit themselves to ideas and projects, with expert knowledge, with devotion and foresight, making small and large contributions that will lead to better opportunities for all.

A large percentage of the grants provided by the Foundation goes to social and cultural projects in Nepal, India and the ASEAN countries, as well as to sub-equatorial African countries. A smaller percentage is reserved for social, ecological and cultural projects in the Rhine Valley near St. Gallen and the surrounding region.
